Writing Center Services

Our Writing Center supports student writers at all stages of the writing process through personalized feedback and educational programming. We offer:

  • Tutoring Options:

    • Face-to-Face Tutoring: One-on-one sessions in person for real-time support.

    • Online Tutoring via Zoom: Interactive virtual sessions with a live tutor.

    • Asynchronous Tutoring: Written feedback delivered to students within 48 hours.

    We offer interactive workshops on topics such as:

    • Email Etiquette

    • Grammar and Sentence Structure

    • Citation Styles (APA, MLA, Chicago)

    • Writing Fellowship and Scholarship Essays

    • Selecting and Evaluating Credible Sources
Each tutoring session focuses on both higher-order concerns (like organization and clarity) and lower-order concerns (like grammar and formatting). After every session, students receive a post-session form summarizing feedback and confirming attendance.
